Acknowledge

Acknowledge is an app designed to help users celebrate their daily wins, big or small.

  • Users can categorise their daily activities under 5 main areas; Health, Self, Play & Create, Giving & Receiving and Work. By categorising their wins users can see which areas in their lives they prioritise and which areas they could focus more on. Over time, users will see just how much they have achieved, helping their self-esteem grow.

  • Working closely with the UX team I created a series of illustrations to be used throughout the app as well as on Acknowledge’s website and social media platforms.

  • The app has an overarching theme of nature so I wanted to incorporate this into the illustrations as much as possible.

Above is the logo I created inspired by seedlings.

I created the main character ‘Sprout’ who acts as a guide through the app, and also appears when the user needs help/hints and tricks. Following the nature theme I designed Sprout around the idea of a seedling/bulb.

This is the primary colour palette I created to be used throughout the illustrations for Acknowledge. I introduced other colours later to be used within the more complex illustrations such as the onboarding screens.

Above is a set of onboarding screens that will show up when the user first opens the app. I created these as one long illustration at first so that when the users swipe between them the image is seamless.

Above is the landing page, we decided to use a tree for this, with the different sections growing proportionately as you log more activities in the different areas. The tree acts as a visual representation for the users, showing where they are growing in different areas of their lives.
